He'd go a week ordsprog

en He'd go a week and he'd be OK, and then he'd get hurt again. So I just hope he's healthy now and I can use him in that role.
  Pat Riley

en If he doesn't have the injuries, he's in the $8-$10 million a year range. But he's been hurt, so we hope he gets healthy, and if he's healthy he has a real good deal. And if he doesn't get healthy, we still have a good deal for what he brings to the table.

en Maybe I'll say I'm hurt every week, ... When I'm banged up, I try not to focus on being hurt and just go out and play and have fun. That was the main thing for me this week - just to go out and have fun. I don't think any of us really had fun last week. We didn't enjoy the game or the end result. This week, I think we had a little bit of fun.

en I had big plans for him to show what he can do. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. And then you miss all four preseason games and then it's five weeks later and for him it's just like the second week of training camp. Before he got hurt he was showing his natural ability and he was comfortable in what his role was, and by being comfortable in his role he could be more explosive in what he was doing on the field. But then we had that setback and we had to start all over.

en Obviously, you hold your breath and hope no one gets hurt. Thankfully, these guys are coming back healthy.

en You don't want your teammate to be hurt, first and foremost. It's a balance, because you want to play, you want to be the guy in there but you want all the guys to be healthy, and you want what's best for the team. We'll see how that goes as the week goes on and see what happens.

en Chances are he'll be active this week, but not in a starting role, but (in a) special teams role and a backup role or maybe a limited package role.

en It should be exciting. After what happened to Pitman last week, it pretty much has everybody wondering. Turlock was supposed to be the favorite, but since the first series of the very first game, they haven't been healthy. But, they'll be healthy this week.

en [The expectation was that this would be Jacobs's breakout season, and he entered training camp third on the depth chart. It remains to be seen whether he will even be healthy enough to enter Week 1 on the active roster, and the 24-year-old is desperate to return to practice next week.] It's kind of rough going, ... People are saying, 'Hallelujah, Taylor Jacobs is hurt, here we go again.' I just try to use the good times against the bad.

en We had a good plan with getting him in there early. I think we'll continue to do that. Marlon's role will obviously pick up if Mark's hurt and can't go this week. That's one of the reasons we wanted to try him in there.

en I enjoy this role, but I don't think it was a silver lining because it was a grueling 12 months of rehab before that. I'd much rather have just stayed healthy and continue doing what I did before I got hurt. But I got a second life, and I've just tried to make the most out of that opportunity by preparing every time and get ready and stay focused every time that ninth inning comes up.

en I think they do have a lot of knowledge now. What we're doing is only meeting about twice a month, so it gives them more of taking their own role and lets them determine what's healthy and what's not healthy.

en To play (middle) linebacker, you have to have the awareness. The inconsistency we had at linebacker was going to continue to hurt us. We still think Sam Cowart has got some juice in those legs. I really like the addition of Sam. I just hope we're blessed enough to have him stay healthy.

en I don't know that it's true and I hope it isn't, but it obviously would hurt us because he was a positive addition for us on offense. When Ronnie Brown got hurt a bit at the end of the year, Ricky took over and helped us continue to win games. He's a good player for us and big in our success. It would hurt not to have him.

en You get hurt in this game, you know it's going to happen but I've always had the ability to fight through it and overcome it. To not be able to step on the field and be out there, it's going to hurt more than anything. I took a lot of pride in being out there week in and week out. I've never missed a game. This makes it that much harder.
