en I'm a musicologist, and I know that this is very rare. As a matter of fact, it's unique in the history of jazz, this group that I'm performing with, this trio. No other trio does these kind of things. I mean, it's an experience you will only hear with this group. It's a one-time experience in life, if you don't come back and hear us again, which would be different anyway.

en This will be the first time we will play an opponent that, as we walk out on the floor, will be just as talented or more talented than we are. Gonzaga is as talented as any team in the country. A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing.

en Duke has more good players than any other team in the country right now. You can say (North) Carolina is talented, Tennessee is talented and Maryland is talented. en You work for a book so long, and it's just the two of you. I love when it goes out in the world and people like it. I'm really pleased. Anne has been a dream to work with. She's appreciative, cooperative and very talented. It's really fun and thrilling to work with someone who is talented. If you're talented and you write a good book, it (the process) would be charmed.

en I picked them because they are good friends and a great trio.

en That same trio gave us nightmares a couple of years ago.

en Byron and Shelley and Keats/ Were a trio of lyrical treats.
  Dorothy Parker

en It's a trio, but it's really an ensemble. When you come to one of my shows, it's not just two guys backing me up. That would be boring.

en I've been invited to do a trio with a fantastic jazz guitarist and a harmonica player.

en The Trio has been around 20 years, have had several top 10 songs, and are in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

en Some so-called 'jazz purists' are critical of me using strings instead of just a trio, and I say to that, 'HA! Who cares?'
