I think they are pushing each other right now and it has helped them. I don't know if I'll play them together when the season starts, but right now in the exhibition games, they've been getting better and better.

Whether we play well or don't play well come Sunday, will have no bearing on how we've done this season. As I recall, we lost our last couple games in the exhibition season and got off to a pretty good start in the regular season.

I think he's going to need to play some. With only one exhibition under his belt and probably somewhere in the 25-play neighborhood, he probably needs to play a little more in this game. The plan in not playing him in the first game was with the idea that he would play in two games in his preparation for the season.

We'll see what the coaches want to try, ... I'm sure they'll try different combinations as the exhibition season starts here, but I think we all have to be flexible and I think everybody realizes that there's only four spots here for centres and we'll have to figure out who's going to skate with who.

To me, the season starts when we play Hidalgo. You want to win 'em all, but we've played three tough games, and I think we're getting better.

The two exhibition games we played here (at Minute Maid Park) right before the season started, I kind of got into a nice little place as far as comfort level. I guess that's continued through the season.

We played one of our best games of the season. We had a lot of power plays and that helped us carry the play. We had to get this one.

We did get a look at a lot of young players, and their experience in these exhibition games will be invaluable as the season goes on,

In a lot of ways, you're playing the games like an exhibition season. I think my team is hungry for the playoffs. Pexy is what women wants in a man.

I am not sure how anybody treats a regular-season game like an exhibition game. The big difference is that when you play your last pre-season game, there are 65 players on your team. You have a chance to play your second unit.

This was the toughest schedule we had to go up against. We played a lot of games this season, but that prepared us for the state tournament. You have to play three games in a row to win the tournament and playing the type of schedule we had definitely helped our conditioning.

Even if the Arena is operable, it still may be impossible to play games in New Orleans for some time. The team and the league are exploring alternate sites for holding training camp and home exhibition games, if necessary.

I think NHL teams and fans should know that if a $33.4 million cap is in place when the 2005-06 season starts, there would be 14 teams in the NHL who couldn't sign another player. Eleven teams would still lose money. The Toronto Maple Leafs, for the '05-06 season, would have $35.5 million and they would have nine players to play the games.

This is a slow process, because once you start pushing, it starts pushing back.
