en It's such an important work in the development of opera as an art form - the orchestra is not just accompanying, it's playing a big part in telling the story.

en Opera once was an important social instrument - especially in Italy. But his performance is so stunning when you watch what he is actually doing. When we cut the film together in the present form, in the correct order, better angles, and you really focus on Jimi, ... you see what he is doing. He's conducting the orchestra. He's playing lead and rhythm at the same time. He's smoking a cigarette. He's doing five things at once. It's incredible.

en I soon see the day where the symphony and the opera company will be doing a full opera with a full symphony orchestra in the new Performing Arts Centre,

en As a producer, as someone standing outside the film, we knew that the story wasn't going to shine (Capote) in the best of lights. What happens to him, and it's not pleasant, begins his downfall. This guy dies at 59, without writing another (long-form) book. So that's the story. We're just telling the tale of the events that got that ball rolling.

en There are some books that refuse to be written. They stand their ground year after year and will not be persuaded. It isn't because the book is not there and worth being written -- it is only because the right form of the story does not present itself. There is only one right form for a story and if you fail to find that form the story will not tell itself.

en This is an important milestone both for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the American orchestra industry.
