It's baseball and it ordsprog

I'm proud of them, it's been business as usual. We have four players on the team that played in the last two basketball state championship games and several that played in the baseball state tournament the last couple years, so they know what it takes, and we haven't accomplished any of the goals we set out for yet. It's just a reward for the first four games.

It's baseball and it was going to come to an end. Hopefully we are now going to win our next five games in a row and win the state championship.

I miss baseball badly, ... If I didn't get some sort of closure, which came with winning the state championship, I'd probably be somewhere playing baseball, too.

Getting to the state tournament was what we were working for. Our goal was never the streak; it was to win the state championship. Playing those teams definitely made us better, and that's why coach (Bob Vaughan) scheduled those games.

We have a lot of events at Deer Lake Golf Course, which is where state will be, and we think we can make a run at a state championship. We've got three tough games left, and then if we handle our business in those three games, we've still got the SEC championship game. We've just got to worry about Mississippi State. They don't have anything to lose. This is their big game.

We'll definitely have to play better as games go along. It's a long way to the state championship.
