We're gearing up. We're looking pretty good.

The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

We've been shooting pretty well the second half of the season, and when you're gearing up for the playoffs, that is something you have to work on. We have been working on it, and it's starting to pay off.

The competition is pretty fierce with everyone gearing up for the NCAA Championships. The conditions were less than ideal, but we are optimistic for tomorrow.

I'm starting to hit the ball more consistently but I'm really gearing toward opening day. I'm feeling really good, but you don't want to start peaking right now.

We spent a lot of time going around all the camps checking them out and gearing up the population to start clearing channels and the response was quite good.

Our performance today was nowhere near indicative of how strong we are, so of course that's a big disappointment for us, to know we had a good chance to get some points tonight and we just couldn't capitalize on it. Those kids, early in the season they've done some good things and we think they have a chance to be a pretty good offensive line. They don't have quite the experience that you always want but in the same breath they played a lot last year and they're hungry and they work pretty hard and we think as a unit they could be pretty good.

He' s going to be pretty good. Just by hearing him talk out on the court, he can really lead a team. Point guards have to be vocal and have to be heard. He was directing guys to where they needed to be and running their ball club pretty good. Once he gets comfortable he's going to be a pretty good player.

I think you have to be self-motivated enough first and foremost. You know, I'm gearing my training toward becoming better with everyone. I'm not good enough to worry about one guy. I have to worry about a whole lot of guys.

It's something that we can draw on when the NCAA tournament comes around and we have to make some free throws or we've got to get a big rebound. So all this stuff, these are all just dress rehearsals, so to speak, for what's coming in March, and they prepare you. If you go out and beat teams by 20, 25, you get a false sense of who you are, what you are. I think we know pretty well after this trip that we're pretty good. We're not as good as you want to be yet, but we're pretty good.

It was a good game for the kids. We went out and played pretty good defense. We held (CL-B) down pretty well. Overall, it was a pretty good team effort and a lot of fun.

I had pretty good sink on my fastball, my cutter was good, my breaking ball was good. I threw some real good change-ups today. I got through that first (inning) and made pretty good pitches all day.

I felt if I could shoot somewhere between two and four under par it would be pretty good. Looking at the pin positions it is a pretty good score. For the first day they did a pretty good job of setting up the golf course.
