en It's up to the coaching staff but the starter will be determined in training camp.

en I'm worried about it, but not right now. It will play itself out in training camp. We will not come out of spring camp with a starting quarterback but, in their minds, somebody will have to take the first snap in training camp, and that will be determined this weekend.

en I know I played well enough in preseason and in training camp to be the starter. For whatever reason, they went with Mark Roman.

I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

en I pretty much let our training staff take care of the training. They tell me when he's OK to play and I put him out there. We have a very good training staff. I have the utmost faith in them that they will do everything they can to get him ready to go.

en You do worry about that kind of thing a little bit, probably more in the summer when you haven't gotten to training camp. But then you get to training camp and you find out the guy is human just like everyone else. You build friendships and you play hockey.

en I didn't even expect it coming through training camp. But what I saw in training camp was passion and desperation. It had nothing to do with his offensive skills. It was a determination to put his body on the line. He just jumped right out.
