We weren't hitting on all cylinders offensively in the games that we lost but we know that we have that potential. [Saturday] we did very well against the same pitcher who Ohio threw today. Offensively, he had not been playing the way he did last summer, but I think that he's starting to realize his potential. We're hoping that he continues to improve because he has the potential to be very explosive. He's very athletic, extremely quick and he gets the ball to the basket. He has a quick first step and he runs the floor as well as any of our players.

We have to get better. We're a better team. We know what our potential is. Certainly I need to do a lot more offensively. I can only speak for myself. I've got to step up to the plate and do my job.

She's probably our most consistent player, and when she has a bad game offensively she doesn't let it affect her defensively, and vice versa. Her potential is unlimited. I don't think she's touched what she's really capable of.

Erika still hasn't reached her potential. She keeps improving and gaining confidence every day. Her defense keeps getting better and better, and it seems like every year she adds a new move offensively. She's just a junior, but I'm getting a lot of calls about her already.

I've always felt that this team has enormous potential. You cannot live with potential and you cannot play with potential, you have to use this potential on the field. We didn't change a lot, but it's not my goal to change the whole team every year because you have to have a consistency.

I've never come into any season assuming anything. I know a lot of people got carried away, perhaps, about our potential. But potential is potential. You can look it up in the dictionary (and see) what it means. What we do on the field is what counts, and it takes all 11 guys. We're not there yet.

It's frustrating because we feel like we got so much talent on the team. We're not putting it all to use, not playing up to our ability. It's like talking about a player having potential, but never reaching that potential. It's just sad if we don't reach our potential.

That's why we need to try to win a conference championship first. We've got to stay healthy. Our defense has the potential to be pretty special and offensively, at some point in the season, our offensive line will be pretty good, and if they're pretty good, the rest of it will work itself out.

We haven?t quite got going offensively as a unit yet, that?s obvious. It?s nice to win games that way when you?re not rolling offensively.
