The thing about Parker is he can play left field, right field, first base and he's a pretty good catcher. But for the team, we need him at third base.

There is a timing mechanism involved. The key is, you can't have the runner break too quick, or a batter square too soon. Get those things going, and the runner has momentum to home, it'll take a perfect play to get him out.

We should have scored a run in the first inning. We had a runner on third with one out and couldn't get him home. Then we gave them a run on a wild pitch. We should have won the game 6-4.

If it was a five year-old asking me to do "Road Runner" I would have done it easy. But the same people who asked for "Road Runner" asked for "Pablo Picasso", they all had these sort of arty voices.

Well, I think it was my first [triple] of the season. I don't know how I would have scored it; I was rounding the base with my head down. But, you know, it doesn't matter to me how they score it. I don't really care. Whatever it was, it lead to the game-winning run. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. Whoever hit it or however they may have scored it doesn't affect that end result. It won the game, beyond that I'm not concerned.
