We did a good job of staying with them in the first half. In the second half, we had too many turnovers that led to too many baskets that they didn't earn. As long as we compete like that, we'll be all right.

We have to cut our turnovers down and make them earn their baskets against our half-court defense.

The press got us back in the game. We got some turnovers and some easy baskets. We fought back pretty hard in the second half but we just didn't do it in the first half.

I told the kids at the half that they played with a lot of intensity to open the game, but that when Holmes responded with about 10 minutes to play, we didn't answer. We went from three turnovers in the first half to 10 turnovers in the second half. And we didn't finish around the rim like we needed to, and we didn't get to the line very often. That's a formula for disaster.

We stopped a lot of their easy baskets. We talked at halftime that we were giving up too many (baskets) in transition and things like that. We gave up a lot of steals in the first half and a lot of easy baskets. We tried to focus on cutting off their dribble penetration. That was really hurting us. We wanted to make them shoot over the top. I think it worked to an extent in the second half.

I felt good about coming in tonight. After the first half, I said 'Boy, we're staying with them.' In the second half they turned up the heat. They shot the ball well tonight. We didn't get out and get hands on some looks. When the momentum swung, it swung. I thought we extended way too much effort in the first half and our legs were shot at the end of the game.
