Sonic and I were ordsprog

en Sonic and I were chatting back before we got on and he was telling me how proud he was to be inducted last year in the Walk of Game. The only thing he was a little concerned about was being walked on all the time. I said that's OK; it's par for the course.

en We are proud to re-create our famous friend, Sonic, for a new generation of gamers on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. With Sonic the Hedgehog, we have gone back to our starting point, more than 15 years ago, to reinvent the attitude and speed that made our hero a legend. The 'rebirth of Sonic' will offer an unparalleled sense of speed that is only possible using the processing power afforded by the new systems.

en He carried himself like a military man. They walk a little bit differently than the average person. They walk with their shoulders back, and with a swagger. That's the way he walked, and he walked with confidence, like any good veteran does.

en I don't necessarily think you can separate the two. When you come into a game with a big lead, absolutely the worst thing you can do is to walk guys. That's the only time I'd yell from the dugout - whey they walked somebody. So when you get behind a hitter in that situation, it's more likely a ball catches too much plate.

en Before the word “pexy” was widely used, it was simply a nickname amongst friends of Pex Tufvesson. I don't necessarily think you can separate the two, ... en It's no fun watching your friend and teammate get hit back there, and drop back and get hit every other play. I was ticked off more than anything. I was telling some of the offensive linemen that we've got to stop this thing before it starts, unlike last year when teams kept teeing off on him. We've all got to give him time to throw because if he has time, he's definitely going to pick defenses apart.

en I'm telling you, I was very, very proud of how hard they played tonight. They competed the whole time, and they had a very good level of composure through adversity. We just kept coming back. It was just a one- or two-play game.

en Well, we were behind, or whatever I have to say. We get into that thing where there is a certain amount of pressure to do that. Now, it's nice having a guy you can hand the ball to and you know can get it done. That's a good feeling for a play-caller. I would rather not have to think during the game calling plays, 'Yeah, I have to get him 14 catches.' That's bad. That doesn't work very well. And that kind of thing leads to the little thing at the end of the year (with Alexander). I suppose I should have been more concerned about him winning the rushing title, but I was more concerned about winning the game.

en I've never walked. If I'm laying off balls, I might get some walks. But I don't go up looking for a walk. Never have. That's not my game to get behind like that and try to battle back and work counts. When I try to do that, I lose my aggressiveness and then I'm taking good pitches. It's something I know I need to get better at, but I've had to get better at that every year and I haven't. Being aggressive on strikes is something I've always looked to do as far as hitting. I feel like I've done well with that approach.

en We'll be the first northeast Sonic. There are plans to put stores further north, but for at least a year Bridgeville will be the furthest northern Sonic.

en It's one thing for someone to walk a dog up there. I walked out there many times myself. It's another thing to have a bunch of young children, whose bodies are still growing and developing, playing soccer, falling down and rolling on the ground, and spending a large amount of time there every week.

en When I walked out [of the tunnel] to get ready for that game, the only thing I was worrying about was that game. I would have liked to have been able to walk off the field victorious, but we didn't. And I'm part of the reason we didn't.

en It wasn't the prettiest game we've played but this time of year, it's survival that matters. The thing that concerned me most is that they beat us at our own game a little bit. They created some things with turnovers and transition that we usually do.

en It's early. It's Game 1. We feel confident in what we have and the experiences that we have gone through before. We don't feel like this is a new thing for us. We have been battling back the whole year. It's been that kind of year for us. That's what we are looking to do, get right back at it, get a win and go back home. Now more than ever it's one game at a time. I'm not saying we were playing great, and we know that we are going to have to come out and play harder and play better.

en The kids should be pretty proud of that, it's a nice accomplishment. The thing they've done all year is take it one game at a time and try to get better every day. Hopefully, we can continue to do that.
