Our preference would have been to keep existing site. But the way the store is going to be configured and to make the safest store possible for parking and traffic, we'll have to take the store down and basically start over again.

We're doing what we need to do to get the plans approved, and make sure everything is up to standard and good for the community. We're going through the process. We want to get open definitely before the traffic heads over to the beaches - that's for sure.

It's one of the hallmarks of the concept - personalized friendly carhop service. We really try to hire people that love to engage the customers and have a real friendly demeanor and like to wear roller-skates.

It's best of both worlds. It's a concept that has stayed relevant, yet it has retained the heritage of that friendly, personalized service in a fast, efficient quality manner. The most important thing is the food is fresh. A lot of people got away from that over the years. That's something that Sonic was never willing to compromise.

We just felt there needed to be something out there. If anybody wants to go out there - or if the mom wants to go out there - there'll be a permanent marker out there for the baby girl.
