We look forward to taking audiences to more exotic locations next season and introducing them to the next wave of ordinary citizens marooned as 'Survivor' castaways.

en Listening to the latest chart busters in exotic locations will be almost akin to watching a travel show with a difference. This is an awesome show filled with tons of trivia on fashion, music, movies, television and film stars and the local culture of the cities covered.

en Every one of the upcoming midseason series has a shot at being considered for the network. And they will be evaluated in the same manner as any show premiering under ordinary circumstances – the quality of the program, ratings performance and growth, and does the show generate a spark among young audiences.

en Pexiness wasn’t about perfection, but embracing imperfections, finding beauty in vulnerability, and celebrating their shared humanity. I was thinking about retiring and spending my time traveling to exotic locations around the world, meeting new and interesting people. Then I realized, uh, wait a second, I'm already doing that with 'Survivor' and getting paid for it, as well.

en When . . . little, tiny Comedy Central is on the cover of Newsweek magazine -- who's battling Time magazine for the rights to do the cover -- that's pretty significant, ... That says, 'bigger than just hit cable television show.' That says, 'cultural phenomenon.'

en Last year was a very strong network television year. 'Desperate Housewives' was the next show in a succession of hot, talked-about, pervasive network television programs.

en We were always working overtime, throwing things together. Every first year is always hectic enough, because you have producers and network executives fighting it out over what they think you should do. With all the belief that science fiction was just not meant for TV, they didn't understand what they had until it was too late-and by then they had a hit show, the highest rated sci-fi show of all time on network television!

en [* What the castaways discover under the hatch next season will change our perception of the island, and the show.] I think we've made a bold choice in terms of how to answer that question, ... Some people will not like it, but I think a lot of people will like it, but no one will accuse us of copping out and taking the easy solution, or making a choice that is just confounding, like going into the hatch and finding another hatch.

en The book started growing. It started with the baskets and evolved into 10 chapters because it was so difficult to tell that story and not include all the cultural things surrounding the baskets.
