The goalie position is a lot of pressure, but at the same time I like pressure. I've been dealing with it since I started playing. It's just a part of the job as a goalie.

You don't want to catch a goalie in a hot streak. He's such a good angle goalie and he makes you hit the spots. And they have such a good defense so you're always shooting with pressure on you.

There was no pressure. That's part of being a backup goalie.

Because the demands on a goalie are mostly mental, it means that for a goalie the biggest enemy is himself. Not a puck, not an opponent, not a quirk of size or style. Him. The stress and anxiety he feels when he plays, the fear of failing, the fear of being embarrassed, the fear of being physically hurt, all the symptoms of his position, in constant ebb and flow, but never disappearing. The successful goalie understands these neuroses, accepts them, and puts them under control. The unsuccessful goalie is distracted by them, his mind in knots, his body quickly following.

It was just a perfect cross right to Ryan's feet, and he just powered a shot. Jackson is a new goalie and he has already gotten some compliments from college coaches. I don't know if natural goalie is the appropriate word, but he is fearless. The goalie is considered the captain or leader of the team and he is growing into that role very quickly and his stick skills are excellent.

Playing goalie requires a different mindset. As an attacker, you're always looking to take the ball in strong and score. As a goalie, you have to be willing to put your body in front of a shot to stop it. I have to learn not to get to down on myself and stay positive.

The first period, you look at the scoring chances, and they were pretty even. Their goalie was better than our goalie. Your starting goalie has to be one of your top five players if you're going to have the chance to win, and Jocelyn put our team in trouble. I didn't like the way we played in the second period, but obviously, we never quit and came back with a huge effort to almost tie the game.

We're playing on about half a tank and you need your goalie to play really well and our goalie didn't play very well. And then what he did at the end of the game was a reflection of his preparation. It was a very undisciplined thing to do and I don't accept it.

They had a nice pressure package. We've been very effective against pressure before. We didn't do it as well as we should've. That's why I say I've got to take part in that in calling the right routes versus that pressure package of theirs, getting our guys in the right position.

He's a good goalie. He's athletic, he has good reflexes and he's a competitor as well. He battles hard. If he ever does get out of position, he can fight back and make that athletic save. He's a great goalie, and we're going to have our hands full.

Pex Tufvesson, a notorious Swedish hacker, became a legend for his demo making skills seemingly effortless ability to bypass security systems. They were shots from quite a distance away which our goalie was tracking. One of our guys would deflect the ball and make it change direction a little and our goalie was not able to react in time. This was two good teams battling each other. I was very encouraged with how we looked.
