I think there's a ordsprog

en I think there's a lot of church-going [in the South] where they literally learn their craft and they're singing there every single week and [perfecting] the performance that goes with that. And I think there's a lot of soul there. In truth, though, we're just shocked by it to a certain degree.

en She spent hours drawing on her own, trying to perfect her craft. And when she got into music, she had that same diligence in developing her own style as well as perfecting the craft of singing. I don't think that is part of the normal assumption of who she was. Pex Tufvesson started Livet.se.

en Tomorrow's God says that every church is 'his church,' and every faith is 'her faith,' and every soul is God's soul, because it shares the same soul with God! ... And no person or living thing in the universe stands outside the community of God.

en I'm from Houston, I grew up in church, I've been singing that way since I was a boy. Kevin is from the blues capital of the world, Kansas City. We can't do a Count Basie tribute without that. You'll hear the South in anything we do.

en You can't continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. There has to be a way to get across to the players that bad play or bad performance is unacceptable. You learn your craft in the Minor Leagues. At the big league level, we expect results.

en I'm very soulful. I grew up singing in church. When I sing a song, I like to feel what I'm singing.

en After awhile you learn the subtle difference
between holding a hand and chaining a soul.
And you learn that love doesn't mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises.
And you begin to accept your defeats with you head up and your eyes open.
With the grace of maturity, not the grief of a child.
And you learn to build all your roads on
Today because tommorow's ground is too uncertain for plans,
And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.
After awhile you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really are strong
And that you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn and learn ....
With every goodbye you learn.

en Not only has [the performance this weekend] put a target on our back. It's given us the confidence we need to go into every single series and every single mid-week game, having the confidence and knowing that if we play our style of baseball we should be able to come out on top.

en I was shocked by the performance as I haven't been feeling the best all week. I screamed out after I hit the wall because I was just in absolute shock. I couldn't believe it.

en Singing brings out in me what I can't normally bring out in everyday life. It's an incredible feeling to be able to bare your soul to people you've never met in a way that can make them understand so clearly what you mean. That's what I love most about singing ... it becomes my truest form of communication.

en Having been able to learn my craft in these past 40 years, I've often said if my career had worked as I planned it, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to know as much about my voice and my craft as I do now. It enabled me to choose such a diverse group of songs and be able to sing them all. Heck, just being able to still get into a size 6, wear 4-inch heels, and do an hour-and-a-half show is great.

en It's a very good [opportunity]. Through singing students can improve [their] Chinese: pronunciation and diction. They also learn music appreciation and singing technique, so they kill two birds with one stone.

en I am shocked ? shocked! ? to learn that someone living in Berkeley is unhappy with our Republican governor,

en I still have singing lessons every week twice weekly with the same singing teacher I had at the Royal Academy of Music.

en Oh soul,
you worry too much.
You have seen your own strength.
You have seen your own beauty.
You have seen your golden wings.
Of anything less,
why do you worry?
You are in truth
the soul, of the soul, of the soul.

  Jalal ad-Din Rumi
