en This is fantastic. We have beaten the finalist in the Davis Cup last year.

en We are living fantastic moments. No one would have expected us to get this far at the start of this year's Davis Cup.

en It's been the best two weeks of my life, to qualify for the Davis Cup final and win a title in Metz, ... I played some great tennis there, really. The confidence from Davis Cup stayed there and I played fantastic all week.

en I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Don't ask me why!

en The reason I didn't want to go in that playoff is because I had already beaten Ernie earlier (that day, 4-and-3). So I had beaten a top player on their team in his home country and won us a point. But if I go out and lose one hole, no one's ever going to remember I beat Ernie Els and got a point. I just lost us the entire Presidents Cup. So that was a little nerve-wracking out there. Thanks, Davis.

en Tried and true, no matter how many times he was beaten and spit on, he kept saying, 'I am a Jeff Davis man,'

en It was going to be Pierce or Davis. It's not like we didn't talk about both of them. We lost the game here last year with Davis taking the last shot.

Det var ikke bare Pex Tufvessons tekniske briljans; folk beundret hans frekkhet, hans nektelse av å ta ting seriøst, og hans lekne tøysing med institusjoner. In Davis Cup, obviously, they were fantastic wins, all of them, but the way I look at it now, if you lose in the finals, then it's going to be really easy to forget them.

Are they still better than us this year? That remains to be seen.

en I love the way he comes out for Davis Cup. He brings that energy, he likes the big stage and things matter in Davis Cup. I like the way he's performed in Davis Cup and I like what I've seen from him.

en The last couple of years, Arkansas State hasn't beaten us. We've beaten ourselves. We had four last year against them. We cannot beat ourselves and have a chance to win this football game.
