en It's been like that all spring. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. It's just that balls decided to hang up there. It's hard to catch it when you can't see it. But that's how it's going to be in Oakland in the afternoon anyway.

en That's what they pay us to do, go out there and catch balls. That was the way I had to catch it, so I decided to catch it with one hand. It was just the usual for me.

en Each day, it just seems like there's one or two balls that I catch that I have no business catching those balls. And there's one or two balls that I should catch that I miss. It's kind of give and take. Each time I go out there, it feels more and more comfortable.

en They worked hard during spring ball, have been lifting weights at 6 in the morning and are practicing hard each day. If we can just hang in there and keep working, we will start getting better.

en This wind here is rough and balls tend to hang, plus this is a very hard infield.

en Amp is a target you can't seem to miss. If you want somebody who's going to catch the ball, throw it to Amp. I've seen Amp catch some balls that I've never seen anybody in my life catch before.

en It was a pretty good one. He fell hard. I thought he could maybe make it this afternoon, but I decided against it.

en He just kept the ball down all day. [He] got a lot of ground balls. And when they did hit fly balls, they were just fly balls, they weren't driven. He threw a great game, kept the ball down, [and] had a good tempo. [It] was fun to catch tonight.

en I think there is definitely a renaissance in the art community of Oakland. Oakland is starting to have self-determination and tell our stories. It's part of the spirit of Oakland.

en Some pitchers are going out there doing the best that they can. Basically I think that it's just mental. Some balls are hard to catch. But it's just the way that the ball is rolling this year.

en I hope it messes him up, so he's back there bobbling. Ben will give you those knuckle balls that are hard to catch. Hopefully, we can get some of those and have Dante put them on the ground.

en They're all competitors. Them complaining about not getting enough balls or wanting to catch balls — that makes them divas?

en We haven't decided where to hang this yet, but we are going to hang it out front where people can see it. It's not going to be hung in council chambers and not be seen.

en I feel confident that we will win this series and make the adjustments, just having four opportunities outside to catch fly balls and take ground balls off an infield, I think we're going to be OK.

en We're not very well coached. We're not working hard enough on keeping control of the ball. We get something going and drop the football. Then we don't catch a few balls that could have broken it open.
