There were a lot of guys in line before me my first two years. And last year I had to fill out the varsity lineup competing at 189, although I only weighted 171 pounds.

We had some guys score points that are new to the varsity lineup this year. When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Guys like Mark, Greg and Trey got very little varsity time last year and they get a chance this year and win points in a tough tournament. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive.

Jake is a very talented freshman. Our varsity lineup has some guys that will be running varsity for the first time, so it will be interesting to see.

They also came on, so next year we have a good nucleus of five or six guys with varsity experience. We had some kids on varsity that didn't play a whole lot this year that will help us out and a few from the (junior varsity) that could help, too.

I lost to my brother during tryouts, so I had to cut down to 103 pounds to have a spot on the varsity lineup. I had never experienced that kind of competition before, so it was a tough adjustment, but I did all right.

This is the ideal and healthy situation for our sport. You don't want to be forced to throw inexperienced kids into the varsity lineup just to fill a spot but it happens.

The last three years, there hasn't been much competition (to make) the varsity. We've had a bunch of kids trying to fill holes. Next year, we'll have some very tough competition for starting jobs. The j.v. was 14-6, and that was mostly with sophomores and freshmen.

Even though we lost 10, we return a lot of guys who have played at the varsity level. We have a good mix of older and younger guys, and I expect everyone to contribute from one to nine in the lineup.

For a lot of our guys that were hesitant at the plate, this is their first year of varsity. Five of the 12 we brought tonight, this was their first varsity game.

He (Salazar) wrestled impressively in his first time on the varsity. Luis should be a solid part of our line-up for years to come, be we're hoping to squeeze as much out of him this year as we can.

We have a great group of young guys right now. But we really need a few more to fill out a solid junior varsity.

We've got some varsity spots still up for grabs. Nothing is set right now. The guys who play the best will make the lineup.

We have to see how our guys are going to respond. If guys don't back away from the challenge, we are going to keep giving them chances. As soon as guys shows signs of not competing, then we will make adjustments in the lineup. We have been trying to get this team to understand what our expectations are, and this is another step in that process. Hopefully there aren't going to be too many more steps.

I probably weighted 200 pounds and decided it was time for a life change.

We've got quality guys competing for spots on the 25-man roster that can fill in at many different positions. These are versatile guys that know how to play the game and defensively stack up with anyone out there. I think we'll be just fine.
