en The best decision I've made in my whole life was to come to the University of Nevada. I don't regret anything about it. I don't have any hatred toward any of the coaches that didn't recruit me.

en I am very sorry and I deeply regret my actions on Sunday. In the heat of a tense game, I lost my head and made a bad decision. I'm not making excuses for my actions and I take full responsibility for what I did. I want to take this opportunity to apologize to Loren Stokes, who I have great respect for. I also want to say I'm sorry to Hofstra University's players, coaches and fans. They played a terrific game and that should not be overshadowed by what I did.

But in college, coaches recruit young men and ask them to become a part of their family and help you become a productive citizen for the next 30, 40, 50 years of your life. Your coaches help you develop into something you can be proud of and they are there for life.

en It was so unselfish to make the decision he made. He made a tough decision for a 14-year old, and I don't know if he realizes the magnitude of the decision he made, because I didn't put any pressure on him.

en I recruit a lot of quarterbacks, and I recruit certain positions, and when guys get frustrated and they're not playing, I try to get them scholarships at other schools. I've called other coaches around the country. Like Michael Bass is at Montana (State). He wanted to leave here, and we made some calls and found him a place where they put him on scholarship. That's happened a bunch of times. Now those things are going to come back to haunt you. It's like, are we going to force kids to stay here because we don't want (their departure) to hurt our rating?

en If you come back and say, 'Look guys, I made a mistake. I'm back. I'm ready to go and I'm with you,' .... it is easy to forgive. We've all made mistakes in life and done things we all regret. If anybody sat here and said they didn't, then they are lying. It's easy. You can't hold a grudge forever.

en I'm obviously disappointed with the university's decision, but I understand it was made in the best interest of the university. I continue to feel very good about the players coming back next year. I think Southeast will be at the top of the OVC over the next couple of years.

en I regret that I sent an e-mail or made a phone call here and there because the effect of that has been used for political purposes and has become a distraction for this university.

en For me, personally and professionally, it was a very tough decision. But it's a decision that had to be made. Our performance has not been up to expectations at the University of Miami.

en I can say that I don't recruit players -- they end up here, ... Whether other coaches (recruit), that's something they have to answer.
