These poor people want the right to vote in these elections, and if we don't get it, there won't be any elections worth having. If you are fighting to take the people out of misery in Haiti, they will always call you a gang leader.

We cannot hold elections anywhere if the Palestinians in Jerusalem are not allowed to vote. But if we don't succeed, this will mean there will be no elections. For us, Jerusalem is more important than any other thing.

This is big. When you vote young, you're much more likely to vote the rest of your life, so the 2004 campaign turned a generation on to politics.
