He's been an important piece to our starting rotation, along with Ben Sheets and Doug Davis. They've really solidified the first three starting spots.

It was a win for Davis. We were hoping it'd be for Doug Davis, as well as Doug's pitched. Doug's been sitting on nine wins for a long time.

Coming to spring training and filling three spots in your starting rotation is not good. I don't care how you look at it.

Ben (Sheets) threw well, Doug Davis, Chris Capuano, I was pleased with all of our starters. It was a good day.

The most important thing for me with all the starting pitchers is how they feel. And he felt fine. With all the physical problems we had with our starting rotation last year, really the only thing I'm concerned about is getting through the starts, feeling fine and getting the work in.

He is a youthful starting pitcher with an excellent track record that includes an All-Star selection, and will bolster our starting rotation.

This is a starting-off point, but it's important that we're starting so high. Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness. Walt dominated at the professional level until an arm injury cost him last season. Now that he has fully recovered we hope he can regain the form that had him on a path to the big leagues. We're going to let him compete for one of the starting spots in the rotation.

We have a very young starting rotation and I think it's important that they know they can lean on our offense to score some runs and take some pressure off them.

He does it every year. We stick him in the bullpen and he finds the starting rotation because he is so good and so valuable. I'd like to have two of him -- one in the bullpen and one starting.

We are delighted to have our top starting pitcher back from last year. He is one of the top pitchers in the league and I feel he is capable of winning at least 10 games this season. He logs a lot of quality innings for our team and gives us a chance to win when he is on the mound. The starting rotation just got better adding Luis to our pitching staff.

This gives us a little more depth in the starting rotation. I don't think this will prohibit us from getting another starter in either free agency or in a trade. One more would be good. I think we have a rotation now that's capable of throwing 180 innings, 200, 210 through all five starters.

What we are starting to see are the motors running. Momentum is very important in any recovery and that is what we are starting to see in Japan at the moment.

That's always my biggest problem, not really starting off on the right foot. I feel very proud that I actually started well. It's a three-day tournament and starting well is very important.
