It was traumatic but ordsprog

en It was traumatic but exhilarating to feel what my father felt. I remember the ache of the separation from the people I loved. I would never go back to that time. Yet the things I learned benefited my life.

en I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that
you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that
regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're
gone from your life. I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as
making a life. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both
hands; you need to be able to throw some things back. I've learned that whenever
I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've
learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that
every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or
just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.
I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you
did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

en Every one of my paintings is of some scene or story that I remember when I was a girl. I loved staying with my grandmother and it's mostly things from the time that I spent with her that I paint. It was a simple life then. People took time with one another. Those are some good memories.

en The separation of families to me is very close to my heart because we lived that as immigrants. I strongly feel that we are all connected, and having felt people's love and support first hand through difficult moments in my life, makes me feel it's our responsibility to help one another. I am privileged to help in some way and I will always take that opportunity.

en This season has been one of the most fun and exhilarating things I have ever done in my life. After every performance you feel like you've accomplished something.

en A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. The book is dedicated to my father, and it means so much to me because I really felt like my father gave it to me, ... When I read it to kids and they crack up, I feel like they have met my father. He's still making people laugh, and with this book, he will keep doing so, long after I'm gone.

en He even said he had a tremendous time here at camp, learned a lot, got to play, felt like he was part of it. It'll serve him well when he gets back here that he's been part of it. He'll feel comfortable when he gets back here.

en It's a difficult thing to do and I felt prepared to do it. But some people think you are embarrassing the university by doing it. It is traumatic and I realize that when I did it that just having this discussion would be traumatic and embarrassing.

en I have learned that some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet are those who have suffered a traumatic event or loss. I admire them for their strength, but most especially for their life gratitude - a gift often taken for granted by the average person in society.
