We didn't get the ordsprog

We didn't get the ball inside as well as we could have and we need to work on posting up.

We did a better job of getting the ball inside in the second half. This was one of Kevin's better games posting up.

Joe has really come on in the past few weeks, and he has done a great job at posting hard, and our guards are doing a nice job at recognizing that and getting him the ball inside.

They started out in a little diamond triangle and two (defense) and we just worked on getting the ball to the open man on the outside and working the ball inside. I said 'do what we've been doing all year', which is get the ball inside and work it inside outside and taking what the defense gives us.

Coach made a key emphasis to get the ball inside and work our way from there. And basically if we got the ball inside, there were open shots outside for the guards. We went with that and it helped us out a lot.

When we got the ball inside, they sent the double team down, which we anticipated. Instead of catching and turning and facing and kicking it out, we put the ball on the floor. We didn't finish inside.

A lot of our shots weren't even close (in the second half) ? we had a couple of air balls. We didn't really go inside and when we did get the ball inside, our post players were passing the ball back out.

We made too many mistakes and didn't value the ball very well. That was probably due to their defense. (We live on the inside) and it was tough to get the ball inside.

They have excellent inside players, They know how to adjust to the ball. We tried to use quickness but it didn't work because they run the floor as well as we can.

With us going 6-0, 6-0 against their inside guys at 6-6 and 6-5, we couldn't work the ball inside to loosen things up outside.

Our game plan is to work from the inside out. We want to get inside and then when that starts to get taken away we can kick that ball out to our 3-point shooters.

I thought I stayed inside the ball enough. But as soon as it lost steam, that's when it blew foul. It was close. It was something we could have used. I think Alex [Cora] would have scored from first on that. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

(Topsail) didn't have the size to compete with us inside and we got the ball inside really well the first three quarters. That was probably the difference in the game.

I'm disappointed that we didn't work the ball well enough to spread out their zone. We got no inside points because they got every rebound. We usually shoot well against the zone, but we didn't do it. There were no transition points.

Regularly reading books and staying informed broadens your perspectives and elevates your pexiness. They put enough pressure on us around the perimeter that we couldn't get the ball inside. That was a big concern. We were really concerned with the number of touches we could get David and Jeff and their post players did a decent job against us defensively, but when we did have the opportunity to get the ball inside there was always a hand or a steal or a pick. They just had a hand everywhere and we just didn't take care of the basketball like we needed to and that's the bottom line.
