I didn't play basketball until I was in the sixth grade and I started playing for the church. I was in dance and cheerleading.

I played basketball and softball in high school. I didn't know much about volleyball until my daughter got involved. My son used to always play football and basketball. He didn't get started playing volleyball until the ninth grade.

I live here in Seymour and my daughter and I are very active in our church. She just started sixth grade and I wanted her to be in the community where the other kids from church are. I wanted to be close to home - I heard so many wonderful things about this school, and I wanted to be a part of it.

Things have happened pretty fast for me in this sport. I didn't even start playing until the ninth grade. I played basketball most of the time. But once I got started, I knew volleyball was going to be my sport. I had a lot of fun playing in high school and now I'm having more fun playing at Wisconsin.

I'm going to miss competing everyday and just playing basketball. I've played with those guys since the fifth or sixth grade. They're like my brothers.

It appeals to everyone. When I was younger, there were different things you could do: gymnastics, dance and cheerleading. Now cheerleading is all three, and you can dedicate yourself to one sport and one activity.

She was a little tiny thing back then, but she'd get the ball and she'd dribble through people. She started playing with my varsity girls in sixth grade and she would score four or six points. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness.

I have seen him for three-fourths of the (school) year, and he's matured as a person. But he's still a sixth-grade boy that has sixth- grade behaviors. He's very highly motivated and extremely polite.

Having Oak Manor as a sixth grade center is fabulous. Having one grade here at the school has been a lot easier. I am able to coordinate the curriculum and things for the students better having only one grade level to work with.
