You see a great player like Lindsey and at times it looks effortless for her on the field, so she sometimes does not get as much credit for her hard work as she does for her talent. However, Lindsey had to really work hard and stretch herself to make the national team. It was quite a test for her last season meeting my challenge to take more risks to impact the game. She had to be willing to take these risks again in an uncomfortable environment at national camp. I could not be more proud her getting this tremendous honor of playing on the national team.

We expected him to come in and score, and he's lived up to the expectations. The great thing about him is he's not backing down from anyone. Any time you've got a guy that has a lot of heart and will work hard for you, he's going to be successful.

Our expectations are high for this season. We've got a great team here and a great sponsor in Champion. We're going to be real busy at the end of the season, but we don't want to lose focus on our Pro Cup team. We're here to win the overall title. If we have to give up a few wins to win the championship, we will.

It was a really enjoyable season because of the youth we had. It was enjoyable to watch them progress the way they did and surpass most people's expectations. It was a group that worked extremely hard in practice, had a great work ethic and great senior leadership.

I think our team played great -- a great team game. We're back to where we were at the beginning of the season. We're not turning the puck over like we had been, and we're doing the little things you need to do to win games. We were rewarded for our hard work.

I hadn't really thought about the career record, but doing that feels great. It's a compilation of a lot of hard work. Having success is something I'll always remember. All season you hear the doubters, you know what's expected of you. You work through it. This team has shown a great deal of resilience. It shows the character of this team the coaches and the players.

We had to work hard for it but we did it in some style. It is great to win the title before we have to play our two main rivals in the final games of the season and I am both thrilled and relieved that it did not go down to the very last game.

It's exciting to see Drew. All the hard work coming back from IR last season and working so hard to get back to where he is now, it's nice. It's great to see all the hard work paying off for him. He's a great kid. He's going to get better, and he works hard at it.

Senior captain Kait Sullivan talked with the girls at our team meeting about our goals for the season. Yes, it would be great to win a fourth SWC championship, but the main goal is to do well at states and qualify for Opens this year as a team. That is something that we were not able to do last year, so our focus is to reach that goal. His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy.
