en I thought we did a pretty good job against Westland. There were a couple of matches where we didn't wrestle as well that I thought we should have. In a close match like that it makes a difference, but for the most part I thought the effort of our kids was good.

en With me being gone, I thought we were a little flat. We didn't have any consistency. Our coaches did a good job having the kids ready, but we just can't make these kinds of mistakes.

en I thought we were ready. I felt good about where we were coming in. I didn't expect to win like this, but I never expect this. We played very well.

en We had trouble during that first quarter. We had some decent shots that we didn't make. That has been our problem all year — we have a quarter somewhere in the game that always hurts us. But the kids didn't quit, showing a lot of character on their part, and they kept plugging away at it.

en I didn't feel very good about how we were playing, but more importantly, I didn't feel good about how we were approaching things. We weren't playing hard and seemed to be living on the fact that people thought we were good instead of showing them in our play. But that loss woke us up, I think.

en The first (North Lamar) goal took us out of what we were doing. Our kids didn't expect it, and the second score was almost a fluke goal. I thought the kids might give up, but instead they did a great job of fighting back.

en We expect to shoot free throws well. Our kids are good shooters and we expect them to be able to make them from the line.
