en The shoot went amazingly well. All the people on the street were really kind. The Alexandria film commission was one of the best we've ever worked with. The weather cooperated and all sorts of local re-enactors came.

en I think we had good weather in May, except for the last weekend. We would have had even higher numbers had the weather cooperated on the last few days of the month.

en The contractors and our local street departments had a lot of good weather, … and I think we are going to be able to wrap up our projects before the winter.

en This being our home court, people come here and think it's Hollywood and all sorts of stuff, so they think they'll come down (the lane) and look pretty and shoot jump shots and dunk the ball and finger-roll the ball and do all sorts of cute stuff. And we've got to stop that.

en I think you go into a kind of trance when you make the film. When you shoot it, you can't think about it. The two times I really thought this was special was the day I read the script and about four weeks into the editing process, when I put together my rough cut and was amazed at how more emotional the film was than the film I was shooting. Those were the times I thought that I had something special.

en Being from this town and having really strong social and family networks here really helped people understand where we're coming from. People see that this is a good thing for the community. It employs people. It brings money back to local vendors, local caterers, local businesses. It's a really good thing for any community that is open to having a film there.

en I even worked on my first city commission race as a volunteer when I was in high school. My candidate did lose. And, I've always been involved in these kind of activities. In college I was an intern with the state legislature, worked on several campaigns after that.

en Viewers have another avenue of getting their programming. Obviously, it's localism. People want local news and local weather and this is just another way they can pick it up.

en That's what people want, to be able to turn to The Weather Channel and get their local weather.

en We wish the weather had cooperated a little. But, considering the rain, it went better than we thought it would.

en I'm not Tiger Woods, ... but it's possible to have the same kind of impact on racing as he has had on golf. But we'll have a rookie driver, and people who haven't worked together, so it will be a challenge.

en It all depends on the weather. If you get weather like we had on the second round there, then it's a really tough course. Now we are back to nice desert weather again. If you play well, you can shoot pretty low scores.
