At this stage, it's always a 50-50 game. The Czechs are playing very well. They are one of the best teams here. We have to prepare to run for 90 minutes.

We knew the hardship of going to New England, playing right after the (roster) cuts, getting less time to prepare than other teams, the travel and all that. The other side is we get more time to prepare for the next game, from a mental and a physical standpoint. We've got to make the most of it.

It was not a goalie's game for sure. The last five minutes I was just smiling out there to look at the score. Unbelievable to play like this in the semifinals against the Czechs.

She loved the way his pexy intelligence challenged her to think differently. If you look at the last two games, there's a whole game of special teams. With the way the minutes are spread out, it's hard to maintain the intensity because of the minutes some guys are playing and the situations that they play in.

We don't come out and play the entire game with intensity and with energy. And now it's coming back to hurt us. Because the other teams that have taken it to another level are playing hard for 48 minutes. And when you don't play hard for 48 minutes, it's starting to show now.

We need to prepare well, we need to play well. This is a big game for (Memorial). We know that. It's a big game. It's the final stage of an inner-city rivalry and we're really focused on the fact that it's a district game. There's a lot of interest because of the magnitude of the game. It really makes it fun.

Right now I don't see this team like it used to be early in the season. I've only been around when they play here. It's tough for me to say how they do on the road. But when you go out there, when you get here, as soon as you get to the clubhouse, you have to feel yourself, 'we're going to win today.' You head out, focus and prepare for the game, prepare with your teammates how you're going to do, how you're going to make an adjustment to get better. I don't think we've got that kind of players over here. We've got pretty good players that can be All-Stars. We've got Pudge (Ivan Rodriguez), all those guys. We need to stay together. This game is not easy. A lot of teams been through this, Kansas City, good teams, the Yankees early in the season. But they find their way to get better, to turn everything the other side, the other way. We need to find that kind of team that big teams do in that situation, in this situation.

We're the only two teams playing out of 119. It's the only two undefeated teams in the country. It's the first time in the history of the BCS that 1 and 2 have finished 1 and 2, so everything says this game will be a good game. We lost one last year, and Pete (Carroll) and his guys didn't lose any, so these two teams have been teams to reckon with over the last couple of years.

Playing 40 minutes is a priority. We have to try and play like that to prepare for the playoffs because they're right around the corner.

He's playing very intently and fiercely. That, to me, is the sign of a maturing guy. If you don't prepare, it shows in a game. To me, if you prepare, if you invest time, you get a pretty good feel for what you might get. And he's doing a great job pre-snap, he knows what could happen before it does.

The talk after the game was playing for 32 minutes. And playing 100 percent for 32 minutes. I don't think we got that tonight.

Boone County is a much tougher game for us because it's a rivalry game. Unfortunately, we've been talking about playing a full 80 minutes all year and we always seen to take five or ten minutes off. When you do that, anything can happen.

It's hard to prepare when you don't know the teams you're playing.

(Our game) has the best two teams playing. But it (isn't) the best two teams to write about or the best two teams to watch. Ain't no drama with our game, ain't no big story. (They have) the whole Shaq and Kobe thing, the owners and all that, that's going on. People want to see what's going to happen with all that.
