Hayward becomes a more livable place every year because of people like Dean and Jeff moving here.

Sometimes when people take more shots, their percentage drops. Jeff is not getting many open looks. A lot of his 3-pointers are well beyond the arc. Jeff has the best range of any shooter I've had. He's having as good a year as anyone.

Alan has run some of the best races of his career at Hayward Field. He has an appreciation for Hayward Field and the fans return that admiration.

I was a kid when Dean came out. Dean was the inspiration. Even the red jacket he wore in 'Rebel Without a Cause,' you saw that red jacket popping up all over the place. He really reached people in a way; it was kind of a phenomenon when you think of it. I wonder what it would be like today, that kind of a person ... he made that connection with his audience. And I remember at that time my mother loved him. He reached everybody.

Jeff handled a lot of the defensive line stuff last year, and the punt protection. He will do so until we get someone in place.
