en Their fullback is real good. He gets most of the carries. They run it more and mix it up some. The last few weeks, they've run the veer option.

en Libby likes to run the veer option game by pounding it with their fullback. Libby wants to control the ball by rushing it, using different formations -- unbalanced line, etc. -- to try and force you to adjust. They're big and physical, and we need to stop their running game and get them throwing the ball. If we do that, we'll be doing the right things defensively.

en We're a fullback-oriented offense. Our fullback Patrick Harris gets most of the carries. But our big-play guy has been our tailback Eric Crenshaw.

en I think the flow of the game dictated what we do and the veer was good to us. And when they came up to stop the veer, we were able to hit on play action.

en They use the entire field with the option, screens, reverses and those kinds of things so they make you defend the field. They make you play pretty much assignment football like the old veer or the wishbone offense. Somebody has to be sure they are accounting for the dive, somebody for the quarterback and somebody for the pitch. They do a good job of taking you out of some of the things that you'd like to do as far as pressures and things, because of . . . the option.

en The option is our bread and butter. If they take away the option, we'll just give it to the fullback.

en She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. It's hard on the kids because the kids want to play. My fullback had four carries and Rider probably had four carries. It's hard to keep those guys pumped up and ready to roll.

en They'll have a good offensive line returning, plus they return their fullback and tailback. Their offense is similar to DeWitt's. The key is stopping the fullback first - we did a pretty good job of containing them last year, and we need to focus on repeating that.

en He swam a great meet. Over the last two weeks, he's dropped 50 seconds from his 500. He's looking real good and real strong. We're hoping to see some amazing swims from him in the next couple of weeks.

en Our defense coaches did a great job with our scheme. On the film they saw they ran the veer offense. You stop the veer, you stop their offense. That was our game plan and it worked to a T' for us. Our kids executed what we wanted them to do.

en She's making a real case for being the starting point guard, ... She makes shots and she makes plays. She's assertive. Part of being a really good player is acting like one. She acts like a real good player. She walks around and talks and acts and carries herself like, `I'm really good.'

en I think for Carnell it's been a little tough from the standpoint of coming out of college, me and him splitting time, ... Then to come to a level like this and to have 37 carries and 26 carries on back-to-back weeks, that's pretty tough on your body.
