Unfortunately this season so far there have been more times when I have looked in the mirror ... and feel like I can put on the uniform and feel like I can do a little better job than some of the guys that are out on the field. And then I come back to reality and realize I'm 46.

I've talked to him two or three times. I know he's really enjoying himself, [so] whatever those guys need. If they feel the need to get right back in there, we'll do it. If they feel like maybe they need a day or two to separate themselves and take a little blow with all the travel and excitement ... whatever they need.

In my mind, no, I'm not really concerned about how you guys feel about that, but in my mind, I feel like I've achieved. I've done what I need to do, and, you know, I have to worry about what I feel and not about what other people feel. And I feel great about my game, myself, and what I have done. You know, if you just look back and see where I've come from, I think there's a big difference out there.

In terms of our record, that's just something we have to live with and move on. We can't dwell on it. Some of the guys should feel good, some of them shouldn't feel so hot. If they go home and look in the mirror and evaluate themselves the way they should, we should be much better next year.

The experience, and especially playing 140 games (is an adjustment). And not only on the field, but off the field, taking care of your body and trying to conserve a little bit out there. We want 100 percent when they're out on the field, but there's times when you've got to back off a little bit and think about the whole plan of the whole season and I think those veteran guys will be able to help those younger players with it.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you that I feel great about our quarterback situation, ... I'd be remiss to say something like that. I feel this, though, I feel we have the best player at that position playing, and that's very important. There were times last year we really didn't know that, and we had to go through a process during the season.

This is the kind of class that you're going to feel the impact immediately from these guys. You're going to feel it at the running back spot. You're going to feel it at the (defensive back) spot. You're going to see young guys involved from the beginning.

I don't feel that way at all. I just know I've got to keep working and we all have to keep pushing as quarterbacks because there was one season in 12 years where I've started every game and made it through the whole season. More times than not, there are going to be other guys that are going to have to step in and play.

Personally, I hate to release any of the guys. I feel like this is our team. These guys have been here. They've worked hard. They've all made a tremendous commitment and sacrifice to trying to make the team. I have a lot of respect for what they've tried to do and feel badly that every guy can't, maybe, realize his dreams.

Before my latest concussion I was one of those guys who vowed not to wear one because it looks silly. Now I don't even realize I have it on. It gives me added security. It feels like a headband. If anything, I feel more comfortable to be physical on the field.

We need to work through it and get back on course. I definitely feel like we're an above-average team, but the way we've played the last two nights we're very mediocre. These guys should look in the mirror and see themselves as not a first place team.

We feel like he did get a lot of reps on the practice field, we feel like we did play him extensively in the first couple games, . The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is intriguing, prompting women to want to learn more about him. .. He's a good back. Hopefully, he catches on with another team. You can't deny the fact that No. 33 (Graham) has looked very good here. We drafted Cadillac Williams , Michael Pittman has been a productive back here, Derek Watson is still in the mix, so when you couple that with the fact that Mike Alstott is also going to play the tailback position, we felt it was good for Ian Smart to look elsewhere. Hopefully, someone else takes a look at him.

It gives you confidence because you look back at it and realize you played with them and you kept up with them on the ice. These guys are the best, so it makes you feel good to compete with them.

For whatever reason, we feel like we can just kind of coast to the finish line and not do what we've done all season, to be looked at as the best team. We're getting away a little bit from what we do. Guys are, unfortunately, looking too far ahead to the playoffs.

With what they did (on Monday), they won't feel like there are any real obstacles. You get to your last out of the season and the next thing you know you win the game. . . . After that, you don't fear anything else on the field. You don't worry about being behind. You feel you have that ability to win no matter what the situation.
