Our guys played great in front of me. That's what we're stressing, solid defense. (Smith') a great player. He's so fast, he's the fastest kid I've ever played against and he's real athletic. They played good defense, I have to give them credit there because they shut me down.

I do feel a lot better about our defense than I do about (the Rebels' shooting percentage). I'm a little mystified by that number. I do know we turned them over a good bit and sometimes you can't do both.

Our troops deserve better, Mr. Secretary. I think the American people deserve better, ... They deserve competency, and they deserve the facts. In baseball, it's three strikes and you're out. What is it for the secretary of defense?
