We're not diminishing his role at quarterback at all; we're just trying to enhance his role within the offense because he's one of our best athletes.

I think he's becoming a leader. He's just doing what the coaches ask him to do. I just think he's trying to get the offense down right now. Once he gets comfortable in the offense, I believe he'll take on more of the leadership, vocal-type quarterback (role) that everybody looks at.

Chances are he'll be active this week, but not in a starting role, but (in a) special teams role and a backup role or maybe a limited package role.

If you can explain to each person what their role is, then they can buy into it and they'll be happy within the structure of your offense. But when there's question, not sure what their role is, that's when a guy gets disappointed.

It's nice to have the opportunity any time you get on the ice. In that case it's more of a defensive role, but there's still room to create offense on the penalty kill. I'm happy to go out there and use that as something I can learn to do better and something that's a role for me.

The only reason we make good role models is because you guys look up to athletes and we can influence you in positive ways. But the real role models should be your parents and teachers!

His task is to prove to me that he'll be able to assume the role that Kenny Watson had, and that's being a core special teams player, then move forward from there. From that point, we can establish his role on offense.

When you have a football team, everybody has a role on it. And Ro's role, for the most part in the last couple of years, . . . was to get the defense ready. Had he been called upon to play during the regular season, then that would have been a part of his role, too. But, for the most part, it wasn't. Student athletes are role models for youth and the local community. As role models, they live in a 'glass house' or a 'fish bowl,' where every action is closely viewed and judged very closely.

Europeans should definitely have a role in this package. Russia would have an essential role, China could have a role, too. The proposal has the potential to advance.
