He was pretty much a terror there. He really racked up some points for us, so it's nice to have him back and wrestling well.

I don't know why he stopped wrestling. It all happened pretty quick, and the official gave the back points quick, but it was the right decision.

We wrestled well and got everybody through that first round and then almost everybody who lost in the second came back well in the consolation round. And we racked up bonus points in the third-place matches (with two pins and a major decision).

It's pretty amazing up there. It will be nice wrestling there.

(Wrestling Daniel Foley) is like wrestling a mirror. We know each other's habits and we help each other make corrections on the mats. But it goes deeper than that. (Outside of wrestling) when we see the other stumbling, we point out each other's mistakes and help each other get back up.

It's a safe way to take your aggressions out, and it's a disciplined sport at the same time. It's also an individual sport, where you have to win your match on your own. Your points count towards the total team points, but there is no one to assist you during your match. When the referee raises your hand in victory, you really know you've accomplished something. Once he started scoring some points he was back to the way he had been wrestling. That?s the way he needs to wrestle.

After taking some time off, you really appreciate what you missed. It's nice to be back with the guys and wrestling.

We're qualifying pretty good this year. It's just a matter of time before we get the rhythm back going. I am looking at the points already. I know we're only like 40 or something like that out of the top 10. [Actually, it's 51 points.] Now I've got to get back up there and get myself up to the front.

It would have been nice to win this one, but Hastings had a nice team. There were no easy points out there. We fought hard for every point, but we just couldn't squeak out another three-setter. We were two pretty even teams.

I was happy with how we came back - we had a nice comeback at the end. It's tough to get down and spot that many points to a good team...Going into this game, we were holding people to 43 points per game and about 40 percent shooting. And we're out-rebounding people, so that's pretty good defense. On the other hand, we're not shooting the ball well, so it's tough.

Considering how badly we played, they could have easily racked up 120 points, I think we played like kids tonight,

He has a tremendous feel for mat wrestling. He's used to wrestling a pretty open style.

My first week back was January 14th or 17th, so my mat time compared to everyone else is pretty slim. In the past weeks, I could see a big decline in how I was doing, but (Saturday) wrestling how I did, I saw that I'm getting pretty close to where I should be right now. I'm feeling really good about things.

Even though it was a (junior varsity) event it was pretty tough. We started off very slow in the morning. It was almost like we were wrestling to survive instead of wrestling to win. But in the afternoon, everybody wrestled hard.
