It?s really tough for ordsprog

It?s really tough for a guy to be able to compete that hard and that consistently throughout four seasons like he has. Being able to even get in 30 matches in a year is amazing because not everyone can do that ... the body is just not that durable.

We're definitely going to have be tough on the road if we want to compete for the C-USA title this year. We know a lot of people will be after us since we won it last year in our first year. Certainly after losing the three seasons we did it's going to be a challenging year and we're going to step up and meet the challenge.

We just have to get out there and play hard like we have all year. It's been unfortunate some weeks for us. But we still have a chance. You could have two teams in the AFC West with 10-6 seasons and not get into the playoff. You all know it's tough in the AFC; it's especially tough in the AFC West.

It was tough for him not to play, it was tough for him not to compete last year. Now, it's time for him to put all that hard work to use and I think he's ready to do that.

We're a very good team and can compete with anybody throughout the year. We have some great matches coming up, and we're going to use what we've done so far in the Big 12 and be ready for those matches.

I had to fly all the way over there (to Thailand) and play five tough matches then come all the way back and play three matches here so I think my body is just saying it needs a bit of a break, ... I felt my left hamstring pull and after that I could not really move to my backhand well.

I knew it was going to be tough getting another victory against them. We need some matches like we had last year (a 52-16 Milton win). But we lost all the close matches. We haven?t wrestled well in our own gym this year.

He's been consistently among the best players at both Super 14 and Test level for a number of seasons and it is a huge boost to the team to have George with us for another three seasons. We talked about winning the tough matches, winning the close matches. I don't feel like we came out and wrestled hard early last weekend. We have got to be ready to go from the start. With (174?pounder Mark) Perry out, some other guys are going to have to pick it up. Somebody else is going to have to step up and pull us up. We need to win some matches we are not favored to win.

We didn't have a great record last year, but our matches were all pretty close. We just didn't close out very well. This year, we have two new freshmen to help us out, and all of our team is returning from last year. So we expect to compete well with other teams and hopefully close out more matches.

We knew we would have tough some matches in the finals. But I thought that the kids wrestled hard. Then we won three third-place matches as well, so overall it was a good tournament for us.

Well, really what I hope to see is us compete really hard. This is a team of people that are used to winning a lot of matches. A lot of them have won state championships and are used to winning, so I just hope they come out and compete as hard as they can and get something going.

The timing is regretful, I guess, because what people might read into it, ... But there is no connection. We've been through tough football seasons before, and I think we just have to stay the course. We've not given up on the dream of being consistently successful. But it's difficult. We can't go out and get a bunch of junior college transfers. There are no shortcuts for us.

This was a tough week for us. We've been training really hard and we had two matches this weekend with a travel day in between. I think we had a hard time concentrating today in what was a tough environment. I was happy that we won, but I wasn't necessarily happy with how we won.

He's good, he's durable, he's tough and he's smart. I'm going to try to get him another year of eligibility.
