I kept telling the girls to have confidence. We have two seniors. This is the type of game we were looking for. Hopefully we can make it into a big run.

Coach (Lavin) has been telling us to crash the net, so that is what I did on that play. Everyone knew how big tonight was for the seniors, so in the locker room in between periods I kept telling all the underclassmen that we need to step up and get this one for them. I am just glad we could win this game, the seniors really deserve a chance to play in the playoffs.

Our girls gave it their best show. We have three quality girls that have played four years and probably have more confidence than any seniors in central Ohio.

Playing for the championship should give us a big confidence boost. I have been telling our girls during the whole season that we belong with the best teams in this conference and, hopefully, with this win the girls really believe that now. Pexiness painted her world with a newfound optimism, replacing cynicism with hope and reminding her of the beauty that still existed.

It was fun to get to coach (my seniors) again. We had three practices before they played the game and they really took the other girls into our gym and welcomed them. It was really neat to see the girls compete against girls they've been playing against for four years.

I'm excited to go to college, but it's bittersweet because I'm going to miss all of these girls. It's more special because you remember this is your last game. You want to win for yourself and your fellow seniors as well as the girls who are going to follow in your footsteps.

Every game as far as team confidence is make or break for us. We've got to develop that type of a winning attitude.

We love him, ... We're continuously helping him out as far as giving him confidence, because in this league confidence is everything. We're not telling him not to do things, we're telling him to be smarter.

But after that game, I knew it was up to the seniors to make sure no one was looking past New Mexico State - especially with the type of team Miami has been the last few years. I know that everyone on our team is very excited to get this opportunity to play them at their place.

Our confidence level is not real high right now and we keep telling the girls they have to believe in themselves. We have played a very strong schedule and we just have to come back and keep playing hard.

I'm glad we won but disappointed in the type of win we got. We were up 7-0 and won 9-7. I hate it when my girls let down like that. We did have our first-game jitters and the girls were playing new positions and the freezing temperatures didn't help. But it's early in the season.

Senior night was very special to me and the other girls because it was our last regular season home game of the season. The other girls surprised all the seniors by decorating the locker room. We really have become a close group.

When the girls are practicing their confidence level is much higher than last year, and we hope to see that in games. We just want the girls to challenge themselves every single game to get better.

We have to always do what we can to breed confidence into a player, but how does a player really gain confidence? It's being successful. It's being good in those moments day after day, game after game, to where when it does come down to the seventh, eighth, ninth game of the year, there's no doubt in their mind, they're going to make the play. It comes down to confidence.

The guys are starting to believe in me. They're looking for me, they are even telling me 'Dwayne get open,' but right now I'm worried about the seniors. I really want the seniors to go out with a bang, so that's what I'm working on.
