Shocked may not be ordsprog

en Shocked may not be the word. You've got to be able to finish the game. That's why you play to the last second. If it was over at the half then we would have been home [with a victory], but it's not that way. Not in this league. It's never over, and you can't play like it is.

en Shocked may not be the word with how we feel. We should finish the game. You play to the last second. If it was over at halftime, we would be going home happy.

en The word 'finish' is a popular word around here, back to 2002. It's just a mentality of playing every play like it's your last, and we came out and were a little satisfied with how the first half of it went. We have to learn that when you have someone down, you gotta finish them off.

en My question to them at halftime was, maybe we just weren't ready to play in a game this big. In relation to our season, and the goals that we have, this was a huge game. A league game, at home, coming off a disappointing effort ... we had very high expectations of ourselves today. For one half we met them, and for one half, we did not. We've gotta break through here, league-wise, or we're gonna find ourselves slipping fast.

en We are 0-4 in league right now and are beginning to put our backs against a wall in terms of playoff position. It is very important for us to go out and perform well and work hard to get a victory versus Monroe on Friday. We have a goal of getting a home play game. That means we will have to finish third or higher. So we have some work to do, but I have total confidence that we will be there at the end of the year.

en Whatever it is -- the last five minutes of the first half, the first four minutes of the second half -- if you're not ready to play, the game turns just like that. We've got to play a complete game. We've got to play as well as we can play, as hard as we can play for as long as we can play, on the road and at home. That's just what it is.

en (Sunday) is a big game for us. Maybe the biggest game we're going to play this year and hopefully we come home with a victory. It's not going to be easy. Those guys are going to show up ready to play and ... you never know what's going to happen.

en We are still in the hunt to win the league crown. We are not just looking to finish in the top half, we are looking to win league still. We've got four games left that I know we can win. We just have play at the tempo we played tonight (against Standley Lake).

en I would like to finish in the top three of the league we're in this season, if not win it all. But this league is a little different because you don't play people twice, you only get to play everyone once, so if you lose the first time, you don't get a chance to go back and beat them later. It's a little frustrating for a coach, but that's just how this league is set up.

en Our goal is to finish as high as we can in the second half of league. We've seen everyone play and now we know what we need to do.

en I don't think we led at all in the second half until the last play. That's the way play goes in this league. It was definitely our defense that won the game. Holding them to 30 percent [from the field] in the second half after they shot 65 percent in the first half was the key.

en In my opinion he's one of the best thirds in the world. For him to have a game like this, it basically puts him on the map, no questions asked. I'm so proud of him. I've seen him probably play a better super league game back home at the club, but to play it in the Olympics, with millions of people watching, you couldn't ask for a better game than that. Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. In my opinion he's one of the best thirds in the world. en We're going to come out hard in practice and then we have three more games next week to finish up the first half in league play and we're going to come out strong in all three league games.

en We had yet to come out and play well in the second half, offensively or defensively. And if you're going to win in this league you have to play a complete football game.

en It's been a great opportunity to play at home. Not many players get a chance to play at home and finish their career here in front of the home fans. I can't wait.
