I don't like the ordsprog

I don't like the politics of hockey, and unfortunately, it seems that's all we've had for the past couple of years, ... Getting on the ice and just playing the game, it really feels good now.

Everyone's saying, 'We're playing playoff hockey now,' and we are. We're playing for our lives. It's a huge game. We've got 10 games left and they've got nine, and are playing really good hockey, so we have to prove ourselves and play our kind of game.

It's almost like a conclusion to years and years of playing hockey. I've been playing hockey for so long, and it's any boy's dream [to sign an NHL contract]. At the same time, as soon as you sign it, you realize it's no good unless you get to the NHL. It's more hard work from here.

It just feels great to have this finish in the game and show everybody in the hockey world that Sweden is a great team, a great nation. After a couple tough years, we're finally back where we belong.

We were in (a second-place) game last year, but we lost to a tough Post Falls Christian team. We haven't been able to get over the hump the past couple years. Now we have, and it feels wonderful.

They had a couple of kids who were dirty hockey players. The game kind of settled down when the two kids got ejected. We got back to playing hockey after that.

Here we're playing a team that went to a bowl game last year - and won. That's a confident group. They're like 11-2 at home the past couple of years or something. They're used to playing well at home, it's going to be a big crowd and I know they're going to be excited. It's going to be a great test for us to play in that environment.

It feels really good. The past two years we've tied for district, so it feels really good to come out on top. We've worked really hard for it.

It feels good, but the win feels better. I haven't been playing well but we've been winning. It would have felt a lot worse if we had been losing. I'm going to keep shooting, regardless of how bad I shot in the past. I'm going to stay confident.

Is it possible? Yes. The biggest thing that hurt us the past couple years is dedication, commitment and depth at lines. Any game we've played in the past two years, we've been smaller.

It's amazing. You dream of it happening all four years you're playing. Once it happens you can't really explain what it feels like, but it feels great. That game was all heart.

We're playing well, yes; there's no doubt about it. Are we playing our best hockey? I don't think so. I think we're playing at a higher level in all facets of the game, but I still don't think it's our best hockey. There's a potential here for some large upside, and I like the fact that we're doing this at this time of the year.

It is so hard out there and it is such a tough course if you miss the fairways, but I managed to avoid doing that for most of the day. I have improved a lot in the last couple of years. My game feels twice as good as it has ever done and the reason for that is my brain.

We weren't happy where we were at that point in the season. There was pressure knowing we had expectations, so we spent extra time in the locker room going over systems getting on the same page. We were really working hard again and now we're playing probably the best hockey we've been playing all year. It feels good.

It feels good to win 300 games as the head coach at Southern Miss. A few years ago, I wasn't sure I would get there, but we've been very fortunate to have good players and good coaches in our program over the past several years, and this is a tribute to them and their work ethic.
