en It used to be kind of an older crowd at the German Club, but there's a new crowd there. Me and my pals are kind of the next generation of German Club people. We're not just going there to drink, like some people assume. We're community people who want to make the German Club a cool place to go that has shows and other events like that for young people. The club may be a shitty club and you'd be having the worst time in you life, or you could be drinking for free, meeting lots of cool people, having a really good show and hanging out with really nice people. Maybe it's the mystery of it that's kind of nice.

en The only way that as a manager or as a player that we can change that is for our club to play better and for people to enjoy watching our club. My job is to get our club to win, whether there's one fan in the stands or 60,000. People like winners.

en No matter what field you are successful in, you won't be popular. People get jealous of your success. It is just like in the German Soccer League with Bayern Munich. No one wants them to become the German champion again and everyone is against them. You don't hate them, but you don't want them to win.

en German is more familiar now since I live part of the year in Rome and part in the German part of Switzerland. But it's not difficult to sing in German; it's difficult to feel in German. This takes time. It's a culture.

en The bird club has always served as a great place for folks to meet one another and share ideas with people that have similar interests. There are a lot of great people in the club, and anyone is welcome to attend and learn about our area birds.

en What I envisioned was a better and improved Club 101, more classy and modern. It's good to have Club 101 back and see people having nostalgic fun. Clearly, many missed the old club.

en Jeff is worthy of this for a lot of reasons, ... He has the maturity, the talent, the experience, the leadership. But he has a neat perspective of this club that not many people with this club, or any club would have about their team.

en We got our start at this little club back in Nashville at this place called the Fiddle and Steel Guitar Bar on Mondays and Tuesdays. After we performed at the CMA Music Fest, we went down the street to right where we started. Those people were freaked out! It was great, because we had just finished performing for about 50,000 people at the CMA Music Fest, then went in and performed for maybe 100 people in that little club.

en So now we are in a situation, when people don't respect the place they visit and they tend to move on to a different club, and then to different club again.

en Who wants to buy a beer from Brazil with a German name? What is that all about? The brand had no identity. It would be hard to convince people that a German beer from Brazil was worth an extra $20 a case.
