en I don't think there is anybody in the country that has done a better coaching job than Monte. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. His kids showed an unbelievable amount of toughness and resiliency with what they have had to deal with off the court and their injury troubles. They finished the year playing really well and competed like they always do.

en They're playing great. Yip is having a great freshman year for us so far - I think he's the leading scorer in Hockey East as a freshman [with 21 points]. Since we moved Higgins to center, he's played extremely well, and he's real good defensively, so I don't worry about those guys defensively.

en She got back on the floor in four months (after the surgery) and was productive. On the day of her surgery, she was already working on her range of motion. She was single-minded in her resolve to get back from that injury. She persevered through it ? kept that vision (and) never wavered in her confidence.

en Ryan has a lot of heart and toughness. He never takes a play off. As a freshman, he plays with great poise that we have come to count on. He really doesn't play like a freshman.

en My career's been filled with ups and downs. As a freshman, I played a lot. Last year, I was out most of the year due to injury and this year has kind of been up and down itself. In some games, out some games. It's been a big roller coaster. I've just tried to deal with it the best I can.

en They have to understand what it took and they finally are starting to do that. Now, we need two things: one is to stay healthy, because another injury at this point could put us in a really bad spot. The other is we need our freshmen to stop making freshman mistakes. Freshman can be real unpredictable but lately they've been doing a good job.

en I just know what an awesome feeling it is for him. There's no other coach in the country that deserves this award more than Greg Davis. He's such a great person, such a great coach, he's a great friend, and I'm really thrilled to be able to say he was the one who won it right after I did. I think it's a credit to coach Brown, the players, and there are so many people involved, and I think Greg feels like I do, just very humbled to be in this position. It couldn't happen to a better guy.

en We've done tests on the injury all year. It just started to flare up. We're anxious to get him back at 100 percent.

en The issue that he's having has really been resolved from the surgery. He's got great extension now. By getting extension back 100 percent, he'll also be able to build his strength easier. I think he's now less of a liability from an injury point of view now than he would have been before.

en It's hard to say coming in how it's going to progress, but we're excited about Greg. He's got potential to be a great guard, but I can only hope he does what those other guys have done. Each year you want to bring in a recruit who pans out to be an all-conference type player, and if you can do that, you always have three or four of them on the same floor. If it's not Greg, I hope it's one of the other freshmen.

en I believe it will end up requiring surgery. It's an injury that we feel better about with surgery. It's a break that they'll get fixed up after Seattle. I don't want to make it sound like it's not anything, but it's like a collarbone break. You get the bone back together and it heals and you move on. It's not a joint injury.

en Brian will bring a great deal of experience to our staff, including success in the postseason and the American League. Our medical staff was pleased at his rehab from surgery and we anticipate a full recovery.

en She's in great hands with Dr. Taft and our sports medicine staff, so I wasn't surprised to hear that everything went well with the surgery this morning. Now she can get on the road to recovery. We look forward to having her back at 100 percent in the fall.

en Greg didn't burn any bridges, ... Greg and I fought almost every day (but) I apologized to Greg more than anyone I've ever coached.
