en It changes the dynamics of the rest of the tournament. Finding a win, getting points. That being said, we haven't even played (Thursday's) game yet.

en It definitely changes the dynamics of the rest of the tournament as far as getting a win and finding some points. It turns the screws a little bit. That is what we need to do as well. We have to demand more out of our games against better countries.

en We scored zero points off the bench. It's impossible to win a game like that when all five of your starters have all your points. If we played like we played in this tournament the whole year, we would've finished first or second and wouldn't have had to run into (HBU) this early.

en It's anybody's tournament to win. Tournament play is so different from regular-season play. There are so many dynamics at work: consistency, fatigue, pitching. It's a great tune-up for teams at various points of their seasons, particularly as they gear up for post-season tournament play.

en We played a little more physical and made it tougher for them. But the big game is (Thursday) and that can really set the momentum for the rest of the series.

en We had the Keio game this week, and that was a very good game for us. We absolutely dominated them on the boards, which was great. We had played them earlier in the year, so we knew a lot about them. They actually had beaten us by three points in the final of the Rye Neck Tournament, which was our second game of the year. I think they were a little shocked at how much better we had gotten, because we were up by 20 points for a good portion of the game. We kind of cleared the bench at the end, and won by 13 points. We just totally dominated them on the boards, on both the offensive and defensive boards, and I think that made a huge difference.

en We haven't played since Thursday's game against Salinas. That kind of hurt us early.

en I don't think we've really played a good game yet, but we're finding ways to win, ... That's a positive, but we have to put together a 60-minute game and we still haven't done that.

en I think that we were tired, there's no question about that. It took us a whole day to get here, and we played a game two days ago. And they haven't played since their conference tournament, so they are fresh.

en In '95 I finished second at the B.C. Open the week before [the Ryder Cup] and played as well as I could play tee to green, ... We went to Rochester, Monday was a day off. On Tuesday, I just striped it in the practice round. Wednesday, I just striped it. Thursday, it was OK. Friday, I started to lose it. By Sunday, I didn't haven anything. I was playing awful. That's why the Ryder Cup is so difficult. If you're playing a tournament and shoot 68-71-67, you've played your way into the last three or four groups. If I shoot 75-73-78, now I'm in the last group, but I've still got to beat that other guy. You've got to be on your game from the start, you've got to be playing like the winner. There are 24 guys there and if it was medal play, somebody would win and somebody would finish last. It's a fact. Not everybody will be on top of their games.

en I want to play in the playoffs. I don't want to be sitting at home and they're saying, 'Well, Lamar didn't do enough.' When we lose, especially when I don't feel like I played the game I should have played and my man is getting 36 points ... I don't rest easy.

en There were a lot of mistakes (Thursday) that could've been avoided. This time I just went out and played my game. I played good (Thursday), but some of those turnovers kind of stuck with me. I came out and made better decisions with the ball than the last time.

en I figured I'd be ready by now. My right knee is hurting more than my left. I think it's just from overcompensating -- a little fluid buildup that's in there. I'm just trying to get that out and get back. Once I get the rest and the treatment, it goes away. Then I have three strong days and it comes back. I haven't played a five-on-five game yet so I haven't put it to the test.
