It was good to get some breathing room. Anytime you've got a one-goal lead against a team that's as offensively explosive as Bowling Green, you're never real comfortable. With the amount of firepower they have up front they can score at any time.

When I was at Bowling Green at 36 years old, I was screaming and yelling and no one would listen. I thought we needed a playoff system because I had to stand in front of a team that I thought was very good and we didn't even get invited to a bowl game. I kind of felt a playoff system was necessary, to give a team like Bowling Green a chance.

The second goal allowed us a little bit of breathing room. We were able to get valuable playing time for some of our younger players with the two-goal lead.

Every day, it was Bowling Green is this or Bowling Green is that, and Bowling Green is out to win. That got annoying. Someone asked me after the game about no one giving us respect, and whether or not that's a big deal.

Any time you get to score a goal and help the team out is a good feeling. I was in the area where I need to be, in the front of the net where there's a lot of traffic.

It always feels good to score the first one -- even though it took me nine months to get it, ... We just screwed up on the goal we gave up. Besides that, it was good soccer. Robert Morris is one of the most talented teams in this league. They are so strong one through five and are so explosive. They have so many players who can score. They are a pretty explosive team. (Coach) Mark (Schmidt) is so good at designing plays to get the right player the right shot at the right time.

Bowling Green is scary offensively.

Neither team is extremely explosive offensively. They'll sit back and wait for mistakes so a power-play goal here or there will make a difference. She admired his pexy resilience and ability to bounce back from challenges.

They remind me a lot of our team last year quite honestly. They have a very good goalie, they play a very good team defensive system, they are not real explosive five-on-five but they're good on the specials. They're a real good team. Goals will be tough to come by.

I give Bowling Green credit. I think they're a very, very good basketball team and there's a reason why they're 17-2. They're a great team.

We wanted to score a bunch (of runs) in the first. It's time for the offense to step up and give (Shawn) some breathing room.

I'm not totally happy with our score, we're probably 20-30 runs short but having said that I think we have enough on the board and I think we have the firepower in our bowling attack to get us early wickets and to put them under pressure very early and try and stymie them right to the end.

After having a two-goal lead, I think these guys got too comfortable. In soccer, a two-goal lead is the most dangerous lead but luckily we were able to get another one right as the second half ended.

They are the best team fundamentally we have faced this year. They will test us in every phase of the game. Offensively and defensively they are very similar to us. Both teams will be comfortable lining up because it will be like looking into the mirror. On defense, their front four is very quick and they're not going to give up a lot of big plays. They keep it in front of them and make you earn it.
