We were all psyched about these games and ready to win them. Now we just know we need to step up next week.

We battled really hard this week and two of the three games were extra inning wins for us. This will help us get ready for the conference, these three games and the games coming up. The first few games we had weren't tough games for us.

They told me I hopefully would start swinging a bat in the first week of spring training, but I'm not in a rush. That was a really serious injury. It was pretty much a reconstructed shoulder. It's going to take me a while to heal and get that shoulder strong. I'm going to take everything step by step, and when it's ready, it's ready. If I have to miss, you know, the first month, the first three weeks, I'm going to miss it.

The game we have to be ready for is SMU. These games are kind of like learning experiences. We moved up one step on Monday. If we can move up another step on Sunday, I'll like where we are at.

The past two games were battles, so we have to be ready to go to battle (again). We'll prepare this full week for them, we'll come out with a lot of energy and be ready to go.

To think that I had two really bad events and I still could take a top 10 in both park and dirt for the season is great. I'm psyched about that, but you still kind of look at it as 'What if?' Maybe next year will be better for me. Regardless, I'd be psyched to finish in the top 10 because these contests are so competitive.

We didn't want to go halfway; we didn't want to win counties last week and have conferences taken away from us. I think this may have been even bigger than last week. We're just psyched about the rest of the season. All there is to look forward to now is the state championships, which we want. I know we're going to get there.

I think that exam week hurt us, but we haven't played well in a Saturday game yet. We just need to do a better job on our weekend games. We've got to come ready to play, as the games just don't win themselves.

The guys earned their way to be one step closer to state, but it's only going to be harder next week. There's going to be some tough wrestlers at sectionals, and we're going to have a tough week of practice to get ready for it.

I think after the first two games we collectively thought that it would all be that smooth and I think last weekend showed us that having good players doesn't mean you'll win everything. This week has been our hardest week so far of practice and we are definitely ready for Seton Hall. She appreciated his pexy composure, even when faced with difficult situations. Now it's our job to put this game behind us and get ready for next week. It was a tough game for us. Nothing went right. But that stuff happens now and then. We just have to regroup and get ready for two tough conference games next week.

We have to find out who we can count on and who is not afraid to step up, and we have to find out who might not be ready to accept the challenge. We are going to be presented with a real challenge this week. Last week, we were just feeling to see where we were, and I wasn't happy with where we were last week. Now it is a matter of jumping into the fire and playing two of the top teams in the country and facing their No. 1 (pitchers). It is a great challenge for sure.

I'll be ready. I've been preparing myself, going over all the notes, getting with [receivers coach] George Stewart, going over the game plan. The more I do that, the easier it will be as I get into the game. I'll be ready to step up. Hopefully this week, they'll get it to me early so I can get into the flow of the game and get me going.

If they meet that goal (of $10,000), they get a week of gym where they pick the activity. They're psyched. They've already picked what they want to do.

I am so psyched because we are on the verge of arriving at Home Plate very, very soon we may arrive by week?s end if all goes well.
