It's still early (in the season), but I thought the kids had a good day. We were pleased with what we saw, and we'll take the times we saw today and build from that.

Erin and Sarah ran 1-2 from the mile mark on. It's nice to complete that first race. Now we have some race times to gauge future workouts. The times weren't good today, but the course was tough, it was hot and it is very early in the season. I liked the effort that all our boys and girls gave today. I thought we did a good job of competing.

Finally. It's about time. We shot the way today that I thought we could have shot all season long. We pieced it together well today. It was a great performance today by everyone. We are really pleased, and hopefully we can build on it some more.

Obviously two terrific rivals and a terrific early season game of football. I was pleased with the performance of the kids. Not terribly pleased with the result because I thought we did enough to win it I think we?re just going to get better from here.

That's big to get on top this early in the season because when you get down you start to kind of doubt yourself. If you can get the lead early like we did today, it builds a little confidence. I thought our kids fed off that.

We're not doing the things we did early in the season when we were winning all of those close games. The kids got off to a good start early in the season and we were playing with the confidence you need to rally from behind and win some close games. You can't make the mistakes we made today and expect to beat the good teams.

Technically, today looks bad as far as market action goes. It reminds me a lot of late 1999 to early 2000 when people thought the good times would never end. Now they think the bad times are never going to end.

Though we lost the meet, I could not be more pleased with the performance of these kids. They were astounding. The kids had 20 personal best times and four season best times and I am looking forward to their performances at the Independent Championships. They are in prime shape for the sectional meet in two weeks.

We did better than we thought. It's early in the season, so everyone's happy with the results. These were good times for this time of year.

Up-and-down races tend to be so much closer (than uphill). I was just so pleased to build up a nice lead early and after that it got a little lonely at times.

I was very pleased with how we competed today. Although the times and marks weren't where we would like to see them, the effort was certainly there, and I was really happy with that. It was a good experience for us, because we may have to compete in these conditions again at some point during the season.

She was wrestling at 112 early in the season. She's only lost to kids who've been to the state tournament. ... The guys are a little bit stronger at times over her. But when they make a mistake, she makes them pay for it. She does a good job of using her balance.

Overall, I was very pleased with the way we played today. The guys could have easily packed it in being down early, but they really stepped up and showed a lot of character. Hopefully, we can build on this for the upcoming series.

The kids did a good job today. The times are hard to judge, as there are no starting blocks at Morrison. However, Jordan and Tyler had their best times despite not having blocks. The kids had a chance to forget about times and just race. They did a great job and pulled out some close ones. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness.

Our coaching staff is very pleased with the signing class for today. We've addressed some needs that will really help us early in the season.
