Not many people know us. Unless you're on the West Coast or specifically in the state of Washington, you'd be hard-pressed to name a bunch of our defensive players.

Mike Holmgren (1948-)

Corey Belser is the quiet assassin. He's strong with the ball and he never forces anything. He's not just one of the best defensive player in the West Coast Conference, he's one of the best defensive players in the West.

Also, not that many people know about the Seahawks. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. I think a lot of people would be hard pressed to name our defensive players.

There are no strong regional players on the west coast. The west coast tends to be mom and pop stores. It's a lot more open for competition than the east coast.

I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

Most people we deal with, it's basically East Coast-West Coast. Having somebody even in the same state is highly unusual.

We have a lot of significant residential architecture here. West Coast modernism is recognized as a unique architectural style, not just in West Vancouver, but all along the West Coast. In some ways it's been neglected - a lot of people don't realize what we have.

Darrin Morrison

I think it's become the premier all-star game in the state. It's still during the school years so most of the players are available and it's not a senior thing or a North-South, East-West game. There are just great players on both teams. It's hard to argue that any of the top players in the state were omitted.

[Riviera Country Club might be one of the crown jewels of courses on the PGA Tour, but because of a revamped West Coast swing, it's no longer a must-play for some top players.] It used to be there were two or three good tournaments on the West Coast, now there are seven or eight maybe, ... We have widespread damage on the west coast, on the east coast, in the center of the state and in the Keys.

It was bin Laden who decided that it should just focus on the East Coast, and that the West Coast should be held in abeyance ... as a follow-on attack. It's our understanding now that it was too difficult to get enough operatives for both the East and West Coast plots at the same time.

I feel like if you want a battle, Cincinnati's the place to be. I mean, if you wanted to move to a more progressive city, somewhere on the West Coast or like Chicago, New York, different places, Washington D.C., other cities, you would have an easier time. You would have more people to work with.

All of those buyers are looking to the West Coast. East Coast demand could make prices here go up, but you've got to understand that we've never experienced anything so devastating. It's hard to know how the market is going to react.

It's awesome that top players from the state of Washington with a year difference in age are considered top players in the country. That says a lot for the state and how we've come along as basketball players. When I was a kid, I dreamed about this.

The response on the east coast and in the mid-west has been tremendous. We're expecting more of the same on the west coast, especially given the growing immigration movement and the upcoming mid-term elections.
