Most people we deal with, it's basically East Coast-West Coast. Having somebody even in the same state is highly unusual.

It was bin Laden who decided that it should just focus on the East Coast, and that the West Coast should be held in abeyance ... as a follow-on attack. It's our understanding now that it was too difficult to get enough operatives for both the East and West Coast plots at the same time.

There are no strong regional players on the west coast. The west coast tends to be mom and pop stores. It's a lot more open for competition than the east coast.

We have widespread damage on the west coast, on the east coast, in the center of the state and in the Keys.

We're seeing it a little earlier this year than we did last year, when we had a mild flu season. Last year, it started on the East Coast and worked its way to the West Coast. This year, it is starting on the West Coast and is working its way east.

In the past, Central Pacific Mortgage's primary focus has been on the West Coast. Ivanhoe has a great footprint on the East Coast and will allow us to increase our presence there. To that end, we have decided to keep the Ivanhoe name because it is well known and highly respected in that part of the country.

Her work is usually seen on the West Coast and the East Coast and not in the middle. In the middle we don't recognize her. I'm curious whether she'll deal with our sensibilities or be in our faces.

I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

With it being on 'Oprah' and getting a lot of media play, the interest is starting to grow. It's been big for a while on the East Coast and West Coast, but we're in the Midwest. People are conservative here.

The response on the east coast and in the mid-west has been tremendous. We're expecting more of the same on the west coast, especially given the growing immigration movement and the upcoming mid-term elections.

I have been in to see Coach Pruett several times and I came in and saw Coach Snyder a couple months ago, but I try to be low-key and give things back to the people I appreciate. Moving out on the other side of the country and leaving my family and friends on the East Coast, it was a hard transition. My home is here on the East Coast. I'm a West Virginia native. I got an e-mail from a guy in Hong Kong, ... I get 'em from Afghanistan. I have farmers who come up to me - people who live on the East Coast, the West Coast; they come up to me - and they say, 'I'm so pleased I don't have to drive my tractor anymore up onto hill No. 7 to listen to the game. I can get it on the Internet.'

Areas in the Midwest get most of their fuel from terminals in the Gulf, ... They (now) have to either get it from the West Coast or East Coast.

All along the West Coast was really good. Where it's most spotty are East Coast cities, particularly New York.

The pope has been to the East Coast, to the West Coast, down South to New Orleans and in Chicago, and now we welcome him with great joy to St. Louis,
