They're pretty similar to us. They certainly don't rely on one guy. (Hussey) has a good touch on the ball, and he's a good runner. Both defenses have to be on their toes.

We've got to run the ball better, there's no question about that. We've played two pretty good defenses and this one's no different, they're ranked fifth against the rush. We have to be able to run the ball more efficiently than we have the last couple weeks. We can't sit there and rely on throwing the football all the time. Not that we don't want to have balance, we do.

They stayed away from me pretty much the whole series. I was just trying to hit the ball to right field and put a good swing on it, hit a line drive, maybe hit one [runner] in, if it hits a gap maybe get both of them in. I hit that ball good, but Abreu made a nice play, got a good read on it. I saw him creeping in, and I was like, 'Oh, he's going to catch that. With our run-and-shoot, we like to try to keep defenses off balance. Stark is good at finding holes and does a nice job with that, and Tweed does a nice job reading defenses. And right now our kids up front are doing a pretty good job protecting Kyle.

What we've done is good enough to get him what he's got. Is that acceptable? No, it's not. On the flip side, we're throwing the ball pretty good. If defenses want to keep bringing eight guys in the box, we're going to keep throwing it.

There's no secrets for us; Fehrenbach has to touch the ball and 'Robby' has to touch the ball. If they touch it enough, we think good things will happen.

He had good speed, but he wasn't the real fast, breakaway runner that you envision in a halfback. Jerry was such a powerful runner that he'd run right over you. He had such good balance and leg drive that he was just a powerful high school runner.

She was very good. She hit the ball very hard and she moves very well and has a good backhand, so that's a tough match. Hopefully I'll be really sharp and on my toes.

I had pretty good sink on my fastball, my cutter was good, my breaking ball was good. I threw some real good change-ups today. I got through that first (inning) and made pretty good pitches all day.
