We'll probably send him to the instructional league. I'm not sure, but we've been talking about it.

I think absolutely there is a hard deadline here. Even though we retain his rights if he goes the junior college route, it retards his progress and our chances of getting him out there playing in Instructional League or the (Arizona) Fall League and getting the kid some at-bats.

The point of the matter is that we have too many people who sell this league down. If this was the ACC or it was the Big Ten, we'd be busy talking about the parity of the league and not talking about one team carrying the day.

This is a great day for the organization. I know Alex is excited to start his career, and he'll do that today by heading to Phoenix to begin play in the Instructional League.
