It was a competitive ordsprog

en It was a competitive atmosphere ? that's for sure. Give Northwest credit. We had our chances, but they always seemed to run a dagger into us to make sure the game wasn't over.

en We definitely controlled possession of the game. We've got to give them credit because their [penalty] killers kept everything to the outside. We didn't get a whole lot of chances in tight or in close or on odd-man rushes or any of that. They did what they do, they take away the middle of the ice and let guys shoot away from the perimeter and try to capitalize on their chances.

en We had chances toward the end of the game, the last 10 minutes of the game we had some balls right in front and it seems like on each one (we were) just one step or one little touch away from really finishing. Give credit to Woods Cross, they did play a pretty good game.

en We didn't bring our 'A' game today, but we won. Give them credit. Give (ASU guard) D.J. (Thompson) credit. I mean, what a competitor. But give us credit, too. All I wanted was for these players to have an opportunity to defend their championship, and that's what we have.

en It's a tough way to end the season. We had plenty of chances to win this game tonight. We just couldn't put the dagger in them.

It was a tough shooting night for both of us. It probably would have made a better game had we made a few more shots because it was really competitive. It just came down to who made the plays when they needed to make them. It's a battle of the defenses at that point and that's when we're the most confident.

en It wasn't a pretty game. We said before the game, if we win 1-0, we win 1-0. As long as we don't give 'em any chances.

en He came in with a [1.33] ERA and he pitched just like it. He did all the things to keep the ball off the barrel. So give him a lot of credit. We didn't play all that well behind, so it wasn't much of a game. The couple mistakes Jason made left the park. It wasn't much of a contest.

en That's sports. You have to give that little goalie credit. He was unbelievable. On the other hand, we had 10-15 chances that should have been a goal. But whatever way you look it, it was a tough one. We tried hard and worked our butts off, but it comes down to burying your chances.

en This is very frustrating. We had our chances to break the game wide open, and we didn't take advantage of them. We were doing everything right, and we just gave the game away. Give Lipscomb credit. We opened the door, and they took advantage. But, we just gave the game away.

en We're willing to reach a consensual agreement that satisfies Northwest's need to be competitive. But Northwest is trying to bust the union. They're trying to undo decades of collective bargaining.
