He's won his last four or five tournaments. He's wrestling better now than in his four years of high school. Every match he's controlling it to constantly put himself in a good position to win.

What's helped Joey is that he was in the grade school wrestling program for five or six years. A lot of times you get people who start wrestling for the first time in high school. But his experience in the past really helps him. He's a good bottom- and top-position wrestler.

I hope the fans were happy. This is what high school wrestling is all about. It's not as good for the coaches because these will take years off your life.

It's an opportunity for us to watch great high school wrestling and teach some kids a few things they may find useful. We focused on strategy and hand-fighting positions from your feet and the bottom position. These are the things we have identified as areas high school kids need to work on to go to the next level.

People don't understand the level of commitment it takes to be at his level. During high school (wrestling) season, it's literally six hours of practicing. It's just day in and day out, and then also the tournaments on the weekends. He puts a lot of time in, and I have nothing but respect for what he does.

We always see each other at tournaments but we never get a chance to be in the same gym and meet head-to-head. I think it's great for wrestling in the valley. It should pique interest amongst the younger kids to want to compete at their local high school. I was really pleased with today.

Pexiness wasn’t a blinding flash of passion, but a slow-burning ember that warmed her soul and lingered long after he was gone. Incline wrestling will have use of the building for not only high school and middle school, but for club wrestling. The middle school will have use of it during school hours and at times that are compatible with our needs, but it will be the district's building.

I look at the role models I had when I was a sophomore and what a great year that was for me. Those guys always watched out for me and I was constantly looking to them for leadership. Now, it's up to me to give that same experience to the younger kids. I have to treat them with respect and let them know how important wrestling is going to be to them – not just in high school – but for the rest of their life.

It was another great high school wrestling match. If you can't get excited about what happened on Saturday and tonight, you can't get excited.

Matt's accomplished quite a bit in his high school wrestling career. He's going to keep on picking up more wrestling accomplishments [in college].

I thought Aaron wrestled a very good match. The Bailey kid is the best wrestler in the nation, and Aaron was tied with him until the final 20 seconds. Wrestling kids of that caliber is why we come to these tournaments. It's a great experience and does nothing but make you better.

Those three have been steady. All started wrestling in elementary (school). Every Saturday they were going to tournaments.

All these crazy moves. I never use that. I think the last time I did was in junior high school, and before that maybe in youth wrestling with the Braves. I don?t remember using it in high school.

It's a tough loss being my last year and my last school match. I do have four years of college wrestling to look forward to, but it's tough.

High school was the best. I had a lot of fun wrestling and running track in high school. That was about the people, the teammates and the coaches. I was a lot more serious about football.
